How to Organize and Market a Fashion Show

The first thing to know about organizing a fashion show is location, location, location! Wellmaintained and lighted parks in a prominent section of the city, notable community theaters, and well-known universities with spacious and acoustically well designed auditoriums should be the preferred places to look for a venue.

Planning should commence at leastfour to sixmonths in advance, so that you can get the permitsahead of timeand be aware of all the rules and regulations about how much nudity might be acceptable for your fashion show.

Once the venue is secured with a written permission or permit, an appropriate date should be set for the show. The date should fall on a Friday, Saturday or a long weekend holiday, but should not coincide with a religious date or an event when a lot of young people or families might be heading out of town, such as Christmas or spring break.

Once the date is set, you should contact and network with fashion designers. The best way to pursue this is to contact local designers at fashion institutes, universities, photography clubs, and local arts colleges who are looking for exposure and ask them if they know any available and willing famous designers who can help createthe buzz around town. Attending upcoming fashion shows for charity with a beautifulgirl possessing an attractive and magnetic personalityis also a great way to attract attention from fashion designers and other prominent socialites in the crowd.

Before networking with fashion designers or attending fashion shows, design attractive flyers and business cardsthat list the venue, date, and the theme of the fashion show you are planning. Whether it is ethnic clothing, bikinis, swimwear, new textilesor New age design, you should aggressively highlight the themes of your upcoming fashion show by posting on Facebook, twitter, local print and online classifieds, as well as hip coffee shops, museums, art galleries, theatresand universities.

Finding Fashion

Sometimes it is not a fashion find that makes a new outfit super special, it is the money that you buy it with. I know that sounds crazy, but if you have ever bought some sweet shoes with the fifty dollars your favorite grandma gave you, or bought a beautiful sweater that quickly became your favorite on cold winter days with a $20 bill that you found tumbling through the street on a windy day, then you will understand what I am talking about.

I have these jeans that are amazing. They were not on a particularly good sale. They were not a one-of-a-kind pair. They were bought with money I won after picking the Superbowl winner last year after visiting some sports betting sites on a whim.

I almost never gamble. This was was just a fun thing I decided to do. I guess you could say I got really lucky. I was the closest in the whole office to picking the actual score. Anyway, my point is that those jeans are a favorite of mine because of the way I won the money to buy them!

There is one other way that I find fashions that excite me. When it happens, I almost never tell anyone where the item came from. But I guess I can tell you. It is not like I see any of you in real life, right?

My best fashion finds come from the second hand store. I don’t care if it has been worn by someone else who has outgrown it. I don’t care if it was in someone’s grandma’s closet for the last 25 years. If it has come back into style and I can score it for $5, I am ecstatic.

So, next time you are out shopping, remember that the price is not always what makes it a fashion find.
