Women’s Interests

Women have many different interests, and today the field is wide open. There may be glass ceilings in corporations, but corporations do not make up the entire world, no matter what corporations say!

Interests Unlimited

An Internet search on women’s interests brings up a long list of sites. Some of them are really about general women’s interests. Others take more focused looks at women’s interests in the workplace, women’s political interests, women’s health interests and other kinds of interests. About the only thing that can be said is that women are interested in just about everything.

The Revolution

Since the sexual revolution of the 1960s, women have gone into all sorts of activities formerly for men only. The trend was to do this whether it made sense or not, just to prove the point that anything he could do, we could do better. That probably wasn’t the smartest way to carry out the sexual revolution, tying it to an old musical number and promoting friction between the genders. But that’s the way it went, and that’s that.

Give Goodnuff a Chance

Women have an easier time than ever hooking up with sources while chasing their interests. There are social networks that might bring in Prince Charming, or at least the Baron Goodnuff. Maybe the Prince is only charming and otherwise useless. Or maybe the interest is in cake decorating of the artful and odd variety. Classes are available on this in most metro areas and of course Internet how-tos and contests.

How far can the interests go? Whatever’s available, that’s how far. The point is that nobody can stop us now. Women are in politics, business, boardrooms and even spaceships. Well of course. Women have always been in the fictional spaceships but for reasons other than science. We’re talking real astronauts, not eye candy.
