There may come a time when you are either unhappy with your wardrobe or your body changes necessitate a new wardrobe. Choosing new clothing for yourself should start with picking outfits that fit your shape and your style. Every body type can be stylish if you keep a few things in mind.

Know the shape of your body. You can better dress yourself if you know how to dress your body shape. A pear shape has a bigger bottom area and are smaller up top. For a pear, flattering clothes include vertical lines, darker bottoms paired with lighter tops, and a dress or shirts that include shoulder pads to balance out a fuller bottom half. Apple shapes are the opposite, with a wider top half. Loose clothing works well for this body shape.

Dress for your height as well. If you are short, big prints and pants with belts, shirts with long necklaces attached are all appropriate for a smaller woman. For taller women, long skirts and knee length skirts, and big bold belts are all flattering. Pants that are overly tight or overly loose are not appropriate for any height or body shape.

When starting a new wardrobe, just as important as dressing for your body type is starting with the basics. Every woman should have a few key items in the closet. A black dress, dark neutral slacks, a white button down shirt, and a fitted blazer are a few of the items that should be in the closet of every woman.

Creating a style that works for you does not have to be a difficult process nor does it have to cost you a lot of money. Slowly buy the pieces that are going to be the staple of your new wardrobe and add to it as you can. Just a few smart choices that fit your body and budget can make your style just right.

When you are trying to lose weight, every pound you lose is a victory and every one that stubbornly won’t come off is frustrating. There are so many things that are advertised to help women lose weight, but in the end it is the most basic principles that work the best to beat those pounds. If you are struggling to lose some pounds, follow these basic principles.

1. Drink lots and lots of water. Water flushes your system out. Many times when you feel hungry, a cup of water can curb your hunger. Water is good for you and far too many people do not get their recommended 64 oz. per day. Water is budget friendly as well.

2. Take every chance you can to get exercise. Using time as an excuse for not exercising does not work. Every one has 15 minutes. Get your heart rate up for 15 minutes at a time. Incorporate exercise into your every day. Walk up stairs instead of using the elevator. Park at the back of parking lots. Every step adds up to losing weight.

3. Do not avoid foods all the time. You cannot live on cheesecake alone, but if you deprive yourself of it, eventually you will want it so bad that you will succumb. If instead you allow yourself a small portion periodically, you will not be deprived and be more likely to stick to a diet.

4. Portion control. In the Unites States, portion sizes are entirely too large. A portion should be the size of the palm of your hand. Anything larger than that is considered too big.

Following these simple steps will help you lose weight safely. They are also good steps to help you live a healthier lifestyle. Each step adds up to each pound falling off!
