The Apple Bottoms Ease: Jean Selection

Denim, the jeans fabric

Denim can define the tone of the day — all joys and even tragedies can be found in the sleek cut of jeans, the flattering silhouettes they provide. A woman can be empowered, or defeated, by the style she’s offered. And the quest for the perfect pair of pants is one all individuals must face. There is far more involved with this process than simply tugging fabric from the rack and taking it home, however. There must instead be an understanding of the human body and how it is best clothed.

When seeking jeans all women must be aware of their individual size and shape. Understand your figure and offer an honest assessment of all its strengths and weaknesses. Those with svelte forms, for example, must avoid the light colors and clinging weaves; these will only highlight thighs and hip width. It’s essential instead to choose darker colors and bootleg flares, adding balance between the upper and lower halves. Petite frames, however, can choose any form of coloring but must have the appropriate length. The leg line is already short and selecting Capri styles will only distract. And those blessed with athletic curves must note the value of stretch denim that will move easily against muscles and offer breathability without straining.

Body type determines all decisions. The most essential advice, however, is to remember to achieve balance. All worries must be countered and all advantages must be displayed. Narrow hips should be paired with straight legs; wider thighs should avoid all whiskering or embellishments; and an hourglass figure should be emphasized with a fashionable high-waist style. The intention is to accept a body and then dress it appropriately. Channel an Apple Bottoms sense of style with a vital wisdom. Know yourself; know your form; know how to display it to the world. Success will then be found.
